Teenage substitute superhero(Open) « Thread Started on Jan 18, 2009, 1:55pm »
"What a day."Riley said softly to himself as he rub the back of his neck.Hovering above Keystone city,on his rock surfboard,Riley let out a loud yawn.*Man, being a super hero is hard work.*Riley thought to himself as he gazed down at the city.Riley had just got down spend most of the day fighting crime and,now all he wants to do is just retire back to his home,but he knew couldn't,not yet, the night like him was still too young.And he needed to keep a good eye on Keystone,especially since the Flash sudden disappearance from the city had caused an increase in crime rates.Now usually Riley wouldn't just come into another hero's turf without their permission,but things had gotten so bad that he's city is starting to fell the repression of his absence.
Half way during his patrol Riley heard a woman scream coming from a nearby alley way.Making no hesitation Riley quickly flew downward to the alley and landed at the entrance.Peering through the dark alley Riley saw two people,one was a woman who had her back against a trash can, and was holding her purse tightly in front of her ,the other one was a male,who had a knife in his hand and was trying to take the woman's purse.*A mugger,this should over quickly.*Riley thought to himself ,as he held his left hand out to the mugger face.Suddenly a small rock the size of a tennis ball shot out of the ground and was now flying toward guy,while in midair small rock quickly reshaped into itself into fist and hit the guy right in the jaw,the man quickly felled to the ground and was immediately knocked out,by the blow.
Riley walked up to the started woman,and asked"You OK?".The woman was a little shaken by her ordeal, manged to nod her head and thanked him,before leaving the alley.Riley let out a deep sigh and said"What a day."

"You don't know the half of it." said a voice from a balcony, hanging over the alley. Heira had looked down and seen a mugger get knocked out by a rock. She had realized that, finally, someone was protecting Keystone again. Heira stood on the railing and hopped down to the alley ground. She gave a small smile to the man. "Ever since Flash's disappearance, that kind of mugging and robbery goes on in this area every night. Though, I manage to... stop most of it." she said, gripping her staff.

Riley placed his arms inside his coat pocket,as he smirk came upon his face.Hearing another citizens outraged by the injustice that is plaguing this city,made him slightly happier,in a sort of way."You don't have to tell me twice~this like my fifth mugger I've stopped today.And last night I had stop three bank robberies and two....working girls."Riley rub his chin before saying"An let me tell you, those working girls know how to threw punch."Riley chuckled,as he quickly walked, over to the young girl.He extended his left arm to the girl,while saying"Mine name is Riley,"His smirk grew wider."What's your name?"

"Name's Heira. Nice to meet you." Heira said. She was happy there was someone out there like herself that was trying to get the crime out of the city. She looked the guy over more. He seemed nice and funny. "Yeah, this town is going to the dumps. I'm afraid that it might get completly overrun soon." she said. She rain a hand through her black hair. "What happened to the Flash?" she asked herself quietly.

"No clue,but these disappearances is happening everywhere,not just here in Keystone.Batman,Superman and even Wonder woman,haven't been seen since Luthuor rise to power."Riley started to rub his chin."I really don't have a clue on what's going on,but it can't be good.Crime is on the rise again,and we need more heroes to step up."Riley stated as he begin to use his terrakintic power,to make two medium-size boulders appeared out of the ground, to the left hand side of them.
The two very rocks quietly hovered in midair for a few seconds,before slowly reshaping into two rock surfboards.The rock surfboards was medium length and had been made out of alley black concrete street,which matched the color of night sky perfectly,the surfboard also looked very durable.The rock surfboards quickly turned itself sideways and hovered a few inches off the ground,near the two people."Do you mind helping me out,by accompanying me as I finish my patrol around the city?"Riley stated joyfully at the young girl before saying,while a friendly smile slowly crept up his face."I'll promise I pay you for it....it's just that these patrol be getting kinda of boring and I just meet a new friend,who happens to be doing the same thing I'm doing."

Heira's eyes widen as she watched the boards form. But her mouth was curving into a smirk and her eyes showed excitment. "Wow. Nice powers." she commented, touching the board closest to her. "I'd love to join you." she replied. She had been surfing before and tried her hand at snowboarding. This can't be that different right?

"Wow. Nice powers." she commented, touching the board closest to her.
IC:"Thanks. I'm terrakintic,meaning I can reshape the fundamentals of rocks."Riley explained to Heria,as she got on top of her boar.Once she had balance herself on the board,Riley hopped on his rock board."Comfit?"Riley said,after making sure the young girl was complete balance and secured on the board,Riley used his terrakiness to make the two rock boards slowly ascend a few feet into the air,before making the boards accelerate forward at 15 MPH. Riley could've made the boards go faster, but wanted to make sure Heria was okay at flying five stories into the air,moving at thirty MPH, and the only thing that is supporting her from meeting the pavement was a board made out of rocks.

Sure. Maybe a robbery or something.
Heira watched as the ground became farther away. She laughed in delight as the boards began to move and she watched the city pass. She heard Riley's question and pulled out her staff. At the moment, it was about two feet long and was just a blue staff with a small star on the top. "I control time." she said. "I can freeze time, speed it up, slow it down." she explained.
"Well...that's kinda cool,manipulating time and stuff.....I betcha ya never missed any of your favorite shows?"Riley jest as the two made their way above Keystone City.Everything from up their....seemed so quiet,it was almost as if the whole city was holding their breathe trying not to make a sound,while the two patrolled the streets.This was usually a bad sign....like the calm before the storm.Something bad was about to go down,something inside Riley gut could feel it.Riley being the carefree person that he is,tried his best to ignore those bubbling feelings up inside him,but he knew something was wrong.
A few moments passed before his gut instinct came true.Down below dozens of cops cars rushed through traffic,all had their sirens on and was driving like bats out of hell."Looks like trouble....Hang on."Riley said as he increased the speed of the two rock boards.They quickly flew across the night sky, following the cop cars.It wasn't too before they arrived in front a bank,the police officers had already surrounded the building and had everything pretty much locked up.Riley slowly descended down into the scene,and was meet by a short, stubby police officer,with a face like a hatchet. Riley looked at the man and said"You're the one in charge here?" "Yes sir,Mister super."Said the police officer. "So....what we got?"Riley asked the officer. "Uhhh...we have a gang of super-humans in their." "What kind of super-humans?How many?And any hostages?" "No hostages,but for the rest we're not sure of."
"Great,a few more seconds and I would have been home watching Married with children."Riley said to himself, as he hanged his head toward the ground.*Just my luck.*Riley thought to himself, before picking his head back up and turning it to Heira."Well.....I hope your ready for this?"Riley asked Heira.

Heira stared at the building while Riley talked to the police man. At Riley's question, she pressed a button on her staff and it grew to five feet tall. She smirked. "Ready for anything," she answered. She quickly jumped off the stone surfboard, though it was fun to fly through the air like that. She turned to Riley.
"If you want, I can freeze time and you can still catch your show," Heira laughed, spinning her staff.
"What and miss the chance to be on the news-paper tomorrow morning, yeah I can see the headlines now ."Riley joked, as he used his terrakientic power to make a 12-foot tall rock billboard in back of him,which showed him and Heira standing ontop of city hall with the mayor handling them the key to the city.And ontop of the picture shown in big bold words' Teenage Supers take down gang of Metalhumans;Mayor gives them key to city.' "And after that their would be a huge banquet, where their would be and all you can eat buffet,where I can eat all the sweets i can stuff in my big fat mouth! Now that would be a way to jump-start the weekend."Riley said as he snapped his finger, causing the rock billboard to turn into sand and fall apart.
After a shared laugh, Riley crouched to one knee and placed his right hand on the ground.Closing his eyes tightly Riley concreted his attention on the ground, and after a few moments passed he had made a 24-foot tall 10 inch thick rock wall, which surrounded the the entire building."This wall should keep the metalhumans gangsters in and keep the general public safe from harm.So...your up for a little fun?"
Heira laughed and started walking towards the wall, to get the bank. "Always!" she answered. She gripped her blue, five foot long staff. She walked past the wall, inwardly impressed at Riley's power, with a wall of the size.
Heira stopped and looked at the bank. She couldn't see the men inside but knew they were there. She looked back to Riley and smiled. "You coming or what?"
