Through a series of Superhuman registration acts the government has practically declared war on the masked men. Through it all there is the small hope that both sides of the war cling to that one day things will pick up. It has been one month since Luthor was elected into office and things are far from normal. To his merit, Luthor has done wonders with the nations economy, but certain parts of the nation are crumbling. Dick Grayson, bitterly defeated and feeling betrayed by the American public, has returned to his persona as Nightwing, and has gathered yet another group of loyal followers. His group is darker and more violent than any past teams the young man has ever lead. The superhuman internment camps have been shut down, but the effects can still be seen and felt. Many of the camps have been turned into "hospitals" and now treat the very same superhumans they once tortured. Those involved in the brutal treatment have gone into hiding. Since that time, two cities have been taken over by superhuman groups. Fawcett City, after suffering an earthquake, has become home to Spider-Man and his group. Bludhaven is now the turf of Nightwing and his clan. The two now have constant battles against eachother, practically waging war. Both are young heroes and seen as naive by a great deal of the older, and many have tried to talk sense into the embittered and furious young men. Still, others see either hero as a beacon of hope and are fiercly loyal.All hope that something will get through to one of them before lives are lost.
