Chapter One:

Lex Luthor has declared that he will be running for President, he has shocked everyone by declaring that he is a supporter of mutant and meta-human rights.

A superhuman registration act has been passed, and the government is stepping up it's efforts to learn the identities of earths greatest heroes and most notorious villains. An army of soldiers has been formed.

In order to counter Lex Luthor, and block his path to the Whitehouse, Tony Stark and Dick Grayson have both decided to run for President. Dick Grayson, feeling overwhelmed with his recent leadership status, has temporarily passed on the mantle of Nightwing to a telekinetic female. He still operates at his Bludhaven base, and still is a pivotal member of the organizations he runs.

Nightwing has formed "The Resistance", a group of heroes and superhumans that will be working toward abolishing the Registration Acts. In response, Spider-Man has formed "The Alliance", a group that will work toward finding a peaceful middle ground with the Unites States government.

Superhuman Internment Camps have sprung up across the country. These camps operate under the guise of silencing rebellious mutants and meta-humans. Other motives are suspected. The conditions within the facilities are atrocious. X-Men members have recently launched a rescue mission aimed at the Central City Camp.

Spider-Man has revealed his identity as Peter Park on National television. the media is in a state of frenzy. Parker and Stark hope that this move will convince others not to fear superhumans, and will show fearful superhumans that they can operate without a mask.

Dick Grayson and Mary Batson-Bromfield, who were formerly dating, have had a falling out after she humiliated him at a Presidential debate. She has left Grayson for Luthor, who wished for these events to occur.
